What Remains of Pixie Skye
A World of Darkness Story

A mortician's tale... about death, grief, and running a funeral home (after running away from home). Based in the World of Darkness. In 2005, after her father’s traumatic death, Pixie ran away from home. She ended up in Long Beach, Los Angeles, where she joined a convent and became a Catholic nun. Pixie Dawn Skye - now known as Eden Graves - navigates her new life as a crematorium attendant for Our Lady of the Angels. While working for the church, she became an experienced mortician (trained in embalming, cosmetic preparation, family consultation, and funeral planning). She became a crematorium attendant (undertaker). Ashes-to-Ashes Funeral Arrangements
She falls for the gravedigger Jameson Williams, young vampire struggling with their morality and the supernatural world he has been pulled into.
"Yes, it's the coziest job you'll ever have if you don't mind the corpses."
The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels
The Cathedral Mausoleum is located on the lower level directly beneath the altar & offers crypts and niches for burial and cremation.
This sacred place beneath the Cathedral contains 1275 crypt (full casket) spaces, and 4794 niche (urn) spaces for burials.
The Crypt Mausoleum of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels lies one floor beneath the cathedral itself. It can be reached via the stairway or elevators at the rear of the Cathedral Church. The mausoleum is surprisingly large, containing some 1300 interment “crypts” and 5000 cremation niches, most of them empty at this time. Its walls are faced with polished Spanish limestone, lit by alabaster sconces.

Rime & Reason
A Forgotten Realms Story

I've decided to change the name from "1980" to "Rime & Reason"
the "rime" part has to do with the snow-elf x drow elf lineage of one character
Title Symbolism
Rime & Reason: This play on words fits a Victorian/Hogwarts academic setting perfectly.
- Rime = frost formed on cold objects by the rapid freezing of water vapor in cloud or fog.
- **Rime **connects to Ezra’s snow-elf heritage and "rime-inked" skin, while **Reason **represents his initial "goody-two-shoes" rigid/harsh judgment and the logical walls/defenses they both built to guard their hearts.
# Rime & Reason
Originally titled "1890", this story was a reimagining of the Hogwarts Legacy era. Set in an alternate universe, it blended the Wizarding World with the mechanics and lore of D&D 5th Edition. In this world, magical races—including elves, orcs, tieflings, gnomes, and dwarves—exist alongside wizards and witches. But fuck J.K. Rowling - the story will now be a victorian era romance between two half-elves in the Forgotten Realms setting.
## The Central Conflict/Plot
In 1892, the two characters Althaea Webb and Ezra Hawthorne turn from enemies-to-lovers (a slow burn that begin in 1890). Their tension was initially caused by a misunderstanding:
- Ezra witnessed Althaea sneak into the Restricted Section of the library, believing her to be a troublemaker, bad influence. Ezra took a cold, harsh stance against her.
- Althaea thought of Ezra as a goody-two-shoes and tattletale, overly judgmental...
- Despite their mutual attraction, it took two years for their misconceptions about each other to be resolved.
## The Heritage of Ezra
- Similarly to the Harry Potter universe, the story will have people focused on "blood purity" who look down on "half-bloods". Mirroring the "blood purity" prejudices of the Wizarding World, this society is fraught with tension. Many look down upon "half-bloods" and mixed-race elves, forcing Ezra and Althaea to navigate a world that demands they be one thing or the other.
- Ezra was born to a drow-elf father Jhaeril Eilservs (The Dark Permanent Ink) and snow-elf mother Miz'ri Lathier (The Blank Paper, White as Snow). Together, they wrote the story of their son, Ezra -- a love story between two exiles (a drow elf and snow elf) finding each other in the cold.
- His father's surname Eilservs belongs to the ancient drow who turned away from Lolth. (or were cast out by her). A protector and hunter, Jhaeril became a "ghost" to his own people after choosing to stay with the snow elves he encountered on a high mountain pass during a raid.

Among elves, Ezra is called/known as Ezra Zau'Lathier
- In the Elven tongue of the surface, he is Ezra, Child of the Snow-Flower. In the gutter-speak of the drow, he is merely "The Child belonging to Lathier."
- His mother's surname Lathier translates to "Snow-Flower" or "Frost-Bloom."
- By using the prefix Zau- (which in the drow language, Low Drow, often denotes "child of"), it creates a name that tethers him to his father’s shadow while reaching for his mother’s light. It feels like a secret he carries—a quiet, submissive nod to the blood that created him. By adding Zau' to it, Ezra is literally naming himself "Child of the Snow-Flower." It’s a way to cling to her identity/memory while acknowledging the "stain" of his drow heritage. It says, I am hers, but I am different.
- By choosing Zau'Lathier as his surname, Ezra is effectively telling his father: "I am her blood, not yours. I belong to the frost, not the pit." It’s a quiet, defiant act of love for his mother. It is like telling the world he is his "Mother's Child." It honors her memory, a way of saying he belongs to the frost and the starlight, even if his father’s dark blood runs through his veins like a stain he can't wash away.
For Ezra, being rime-inked means:
- Visibility: He cannot hide what he is. The "stain" of the drow is visible through the frost of the snow elf.
- Fragility: It makes him look cold to the touch, as if he might shatter if Althaea reaches out to him.
- Identity: It is the physical proof that he is the "script" written by his parents—a beautiful, dark frost that exists only because two opposites collided.
- "He wore his heritage like a winter bruise... the dark ink of the deep places rising up to meet the silver rime of the peaks, forever trapped just beneath the surface of his skin." (mountain peaks)
- "skin like glass" or "ink beneath the surface"

transparent answer
d̶w̶e̶l̶l̶

The story where one looks away, pretends not to see.
But it became obvious how you averted your eyes to reality.
You could have helped. You saw the warning signs, the cries for help, but you ignored her.
The guilt you feel: try not to dwell on it.
Transparent Answer = the answer is obvious, crystal clear now [common sense]It's a diary entry full of scribbled out/redacted thoughts, recalling of events that affected the author. It's almost like a letter of apology.
